Q : What inspired you to open your space?
A : I wanted to create a healing space where the experience for our clients begins when they first walk in the door. And then of course following that up with a remedial massage tailored specifically to the achieve the best possible client outcome.
Q : What is the story behind the name of your business?
A : We wanted it to convey our vast array of skills and expertise within our scope of practise, and the fact that we treat such a variety of people. There was a lightbulb moment when speaking with a friend about it….. “I just need something that can embody all of it”…… and bingo….there you go!
Q : What lies at the heart of your business?
A : A great deal of passion and desire to assist our clients in achieving their health and wellbeing goals. We aim to provide an exceptional standard of massage therapy, in a relaxing and professional environment. We get a genuine thrill seeing clients become less stressed, reduce pain levels and regain mobility.
Q : Tell us something unique about the people behind your business.
A : We are all aligned with the same ethos and work together as a team. We have regular catchups to share ideas so we can constantly improve and professional development/training is an integral part of our culture here. We are all registered with Massage New Zealand which is not mandatory in NZ, but it’s a standard we set at Embody. This means all therapists are trained to an industry standard and abide by a Code of Ethics. There is also an amazing chiropractor who operates @coastalwellness from within our clinic. The two modalities compliment each-other very effectively.
Q : Why did you choose to partner with Forage and Bloom?
A : We chose to partner with Forage and Bloom because we want to offer a beautiful range of organic teas to compliment our space. We just adore this range and it was important to us that they have therapeutic benefits in addition to tasting amazing and looking stunning in our waiting room.
Q : Is there a particular book or magazine that your team is loving at the moment?
A : An interesting read for us at the moment is “Covid Schmovid: 19 Ways to Make Your Small Business Boom” by Vaughn Davis. It's full of practical tips and advice from successful Kiwi business owners.
