BUTTERFLY PEA : Clitoria ternatea

Regular price $27.00 Sale

Dried botanicals for your everyday life. Organic and therapeutic quality, always.

Known for their distinctive colour, butterfly pea flowers create a beautiful vibrant blue infusion. The blue infusion can change in colour to purple if lemon is added, or red if hibiscus is added (colour changes occur as the pH balance is shifted) - a great beverage to experiment with!

The flowers are filled with anti-inflammatory compounds, and are particularly high in anthocyanin, a type of antioxidant also found in blueberries. Anthocyanin is known for its strong antimicrobial and antibacterial properties, its ability to regulate blood pressure and its cytoprotective activities, amongst numerous other benefits.

Actions :

Anti-oxidant / Antiemetic / Expectorant / Anti-inflammatory / Nootropic

Packaging :

All botanicals come in fully compostable, resealable packaging.

Please note that due to the nature of dried herbs being pure plant matter, the appearance may vary slightly between batches. Rest assured that the quality and organic certification will always remain the same.

The most joyful tea

This beautiful tea made my day. I didn't know it came out blue and after adding some acid (lemon juice as recommended by my teenager) - it turned purple. I felt like a little girl (witch) making potions. Now every time I have this tea, I just can't stop smiling. The taste is very pleasant and soft and one heaped teaspoon lasts for three cups for sure.

Beautifully delicate tea with an incredible colour.

This tea is gorgeous. It's taste is delicate and the colour is amazing. Depending on how much you use with decide the taste and colour. I mix with lemon balm and it turns turquoise. Love it
